Orlando Bloom quits porn (well, for at least 6 months)

Orlando Bloom, a well-known actor, has gone completely porn-free for at least 6 months. On top of this, he had some words to say about kids using porn and how it impacts romantic relationships, asking “how is your actual real-life partner going to match up?” compared to the endless sexual novelty that digital porn bombards our brains with. He also described excessive porn use as “just so destructive.”

This came out in an interview with Charlotte Edwardes of The Sunday Times, a newspaper from the United Kingdom.

Orlando Bloom describes going on a six-month celibacy streak in 2016 in an attempt to address his unhappiness. He said that his friend Laird Hamilton suggested it, saying “if you want to be serious about a relationship, go celibate for a few months and figure it out.” This included going cold-turkey on both porn and masturbation, asserting that he did “completely nothing” during the six months. This is strikingly similar to our 90-day “hard mode” reboot, where participants temporarily abstain from porn, masturbation, and even sex altogether to recover from porn addiction and/or porn-induced erectile dysfunction.

He described experiencing benefits: “I was going to do three months, but I was really enjoying the way I was relating to women, and to the feminine within myself. It was insane.

He was careful to caution that he does not endorse people abstaining from masturbation or orgasm entirely, stating “I don’t think it’s healthy. I don’t think it was advisable. You have to keep it moving down there.”

However, the big news is that it looks like Orlando Bloom isn’t a big fan of porn and seems to be aware of the latest research and statistics, which have been revealing that way too many underage kids are regularly using porn: “They’ve done the studies, they can’t find any kids who don’t watch it. When you watch multiple people at multiple times in one evening, how is your actual real-life partner going to match up? It’s just so destructive.” He said that “porn is super disruptive to your sex life, to your libido.

Since Orlando Bloom played the elven archer Legolas in The Lord of the Rings film trilogy, he might appreciate these dank LOTR recovery memes.

Anyway, it seems that quitting porn worked out well for Orlando Bloom because by the end of his streak he ended up starting to date music superstar Katy Perry. In early 2019 they got engaged and they recently announced that they are having their first child together.

Hopefully, Orlando Bloom continues to steer clear of the porn, since the latest research supports that porn-free couples experience higher relationship satisfaction, higher sexual satisfaction, and have a decreased chance of divorce.

  1. There are penis health cremes available that treat this kinda thing almost exclusively. They are made just for the penis skin and use vitamins and proteins to repair and protect it. I use one and never have any problems down there like this. You can get one online. Hope this helps.

  2. I think being a celebrity had more to do with him getting into a relationship with Katy than quitting porn
