The flat brain theory (Flat earth)

Discussion in 'Off-topic Discussion' started by Deleted Account, Jan 26, 2018.

  1. You are probably right that the analogy is not good.
But don't you know of some bias that you overcome? Would it be comparable to this?

I don't see you backing up you claim, just asking what would made they suddenly change, is there anything supporting the idea that there is no process, even a slow one, to which one can overcome a conspiracy theory?

I remember that when I was a kid I was very effective at lying to myself, maybe some have just kept that thing.

I heard about a new study that just confirmed the Earth is further from the sun than we thought. Scientific research suggests the sun is 8 CVS receipts from earth. 957cf42b1ba423cabe3ce33a92ccff5423f9d4e6b0bcc8fbdb10f6a2cf08c987_1.jpg

I know I posted this in other flat Earth threads but I can't resist.

  6. Backing up what 'claim'? I have mental illnesses and I can tell you from myself that they're not the same. While they both have to do with the mind it's not the same pattern or process, why are we even arguing or having this conversation?

Trying to convince a flat Earther will be impossible, because they're so deeply rooted in their belief and they refuse to believe anything to do with the government. You're welcome to try but it's not worth it to me.

Actually that ISS live feed, you cannot fake that :/
First, yesterday i watched a guy go in space, and he let go of something and it started to float away, and then he caught it (outside the spacestation).. not sure it is possible to fake that honestly. You can see the ISS from the ground on earth btw.
Also.. you obviously see all the clouds on the earth, and guess what? The clouds 100 percent match up the weather we are having, how the clouds look like etc. If you live in florida and there is a huge storm exactly above the huge stem of land, in the ISS it will match. How can you even fake this??

I would like someone to explain how The Foucault pendulum works on a flat earth?

heres my opinion if you want it
live iss feed can easily be faked using a high altitude plane going in a circle around the flat earth using a fish eye lens
maybe the reason the tool floated away is theyre underwater like ive said (things float to the surface)
did you know the iss goes four miles a second.. thats pretty odd not sure how thats even possible, but i would like to mention if you see it all you see is somehting black moving by the moon or whatever super fast.. you couldnt clearly see it it doesnt just float there it and what a normal person would see if it exists is just a light which can easily be a weather balloon etc

thats my opinion if youre curious

Air resistance damps the oscillation, so some Foucault pendulums in museums incorporate an electromagnetic or other drive to keep the bob swinging; others are restarted regularly, sometimes with a launching ceremony as an added attraction.

The Foucault pendulum and the Coriolis effect are not proofs of Earth’s motion. They can both be equally explained by the rotating aether/firmament or a rotating Earth. Regardless whether it is the Earth that is rotating or the aether that is rotating, the same effect would be noticed. No experiment however has ever shown the Earth to be moving, but the Michelson-Morley, Michelson-Gale, Airy, Sagnac, and Kantor experiments all proved the existence and motion of the aether.

the aether was described by tesla

Its not underwater, not sure how a guy lets go of a chunk of metal with little force, and slowly continues to move away. It doesnt act like how it is underwater.

What you just sent complete failed to debunk the pendelum. Read the first post:
    https://www.quora.com/How-do-flat-Earthers-explain-the-Foucault-pendulum
The guy debunks rebuttals by flat brainers.
Here is a guy doing it in his garage, you can clearly see it moved/changed directions:

That doesnt disprove it. The pendulum changes directions due to the earths rotation, of course different directions depending where you are on earth, just like the coriolis effect.

Its not the same if the earth is flat, nor would it be different on different hemispheres if the earth was flat.
Idiot. The michelson-morley experiment was a failed experiment. they all prove the earth is round, lol.

Where was the aether described by tesla?

  15. If all it takes is wobbling a ball around on a piece of string to convince you that you are, and everything around you, spinning faster than the speed of sound through infinite space vacuum, then you might not be thinking rationally (or at all).

The globe, just another imaginary piece of clutter your mind doesn't need.

    try looking into it
the sun shrinks in the desert
how can this be on a heliocentric globe

reason it doesnt appear to shrink over ocean is atmospheric refraction from rhe water vapor (too low in the desert)

its going over a mountain too keep in mind (moving forward like a plane flying straight and shrinking)

  18. When all you have is sarcasm, insults, wishful thinking and a "live feed" from the inside of a TV studio... you got nothing.

It is stunning that people in this thread are so religiously attached to the spinning pear earth, with its motion they have never experienced, and its curvature that they have never seen.

Put some plastic in plane windows and give globes to kids and they grow up ranting about how flat earthers are stupid for not believing they're hurtling through infinite space vacuum. Truly amazing.

How come my wobbly string which suppose to be going back and forth constantly, is changing directions, turning clockwise!?? Maybe the government hacked the string and made it turn!!

  20. If the globe was anything other than imaginary, the pendulum would be being flung about at several thousand miles an hour.

Airy’s failure and the Michelson-Morley experiments both irrefutably prove the earth is fixed and stationary.

You are presupposing the globe and discounting all evidence. Without bothering to question your presupposition. Because how could the earth be flat blah blah blah? But it is quite true. Simple experiments, inertia based accelerometers and gyroscopes prove the flat earth.

To believe in the globe, you have to believe in an imaginary curvature and motion that can never be measured.
