First of all, we kick the football pretty often in football. The sport involves the widest variety of athletes. QBs throw, WRs catch, RBs carry it, Defense tackles it and try to knock it loose, kickers kick, punters punt, and kickoff team is just a violent stampede followed by a dog pile of death.

 

I don’t mean to sound like a coping NFL fan, but football is the #1 high school sport. 1 million kids play it, and I played for a few years. Even if you aren’t good enough for the next level, playing high school football gives you an understanding of the game that makes you enjoy it more when watching college athletes or pros play it.
