I found a way to permanently remove games from my account but I'm hesitant to remove some games because of the money spent on them and the hours I put in. In general, if someone no longer indulges in pornography, what should they do with the erotic games they spent lots of money on?
In my opinion: There's the catch: you've dumped money into something and you now feel obligated to keep it around and stick with it. If these erotic games are your triggers and you're trying to remove them from your library, I suggest cutting ties with them and keep going.
I found a way to permanently remove porn from my account but I'm hesitant to remove some porn because of the money spent on them and the hours I put in. How does that sound? If it leads you to the same outcome that porn does then you already know the answer.
Well, in my humble opinion, just delete it. Yeah sure games will make you relax and all. However, if those games act as a trigger and you feel obligated to put more effort in it, cut those off. I mean, there are other ways to find happiness other than games. One last thing, I do not recommend spending money on games because it won't give you anything. In short, just delete it. Replace it with something else more meaningful.
It was difficult but I deleted most of them, leaving a few behind to see if I could get refunds since I never played them. I decided to delete Lust from Darkness and Lust from Beyond despite being a sensor option on one of them. I want to stay away from that. If I don't get those refunds I'll delete them like the others.
Yesterday I relapsed because of a porn game. I keep deleting afterwards. You think there's any lasting value in porn. There isn't. You just need it before a relapse and your brain is scared when you delete it. Before another urge comes you'll cry as well. A lot of people here wanted to find particular porn materials that they had used in the past. Think of an alcoholic. He's got a stash of some fine liquors. Should he keep it because he "invested" money in them? Or should he cure himself of the illness? Should he cry and doubt because he wants to drink them one day? Or should he throw them down the precipice so that he would never get them?
All the refunds were declined because "there is no evidence that the product has a major defect". They're all gone now anyway.
I'd say delete them permanently despite all the money you've spent. It will feel so liberating when you do it, you'll even get an adrenaline rush.
[27] "You have heard that it was said, `You shall not commit adultery. ' [28] But I say to you that every one who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart. Mathew 5:27-28 Just delete them.
I learned the principle of amputation during my recovery. Cut off EVERYTHING from your life, house and computers that evéntually can seduce you back into the pit.
The question is: what is it worth to you to safe yourself from the next relapse? I think, and hope, he is not joking.
As a “20 years player” (I started at 5) I’ve write so much against videogames that is boring for me repeat it. All the achivement in game are illusory, they give you nothing, the platinum trophy isn’t worth it. You are inside a fake reality where you are the hero, while the average gamer is a porn addict that pass his day playing videogames (my routine was: go work, go home and watch porn/play videogames) in a dark room, leveling up and complete quests for npc that are illusorial and aren’t really grateful with you. You are not a hero. And all your progress will be lost when your computer breaks, your save get corrupted, ecc…and after a while you will get bored of that game and start a new one. This is one of the reasons why I leaved games in 2023. i noticed I have more time, did a bycicle trip of 2 months. Before I strongly limited my videogame time but after trip I was bored so I restarted again playing shit addictive games like Paradox Interactive so I had to quit…now I’m almost at day 100 without games (95). Same for books, more time, this year I’ve already read 7 books, since I have more time to spend in more useful things (gaming does not unleash your creativity, you are a mere puppet, writings do). Of course I’m not perfect neither, Winter is shit and I’m limited, I couldn’t do long bike trips and outside is really cold even for short bike sessions, but I’m not gonna be a larvae in my room. Reading books and write is an “active” activities that require your attention, videogames and porn are passive activities that maintain you in a hypnosis status. This is the reason why porn as games gave you nothing. Yeah as we said porn and videogames works in similar ways, giving you an amount of dopamine that you cannot find in nature, I had strong memories that after a videogame session I was feeing like edging so I had to “complete” with PMO, every time. Plus, modern videogames are made to maintain you hooked on the screen, and they are empty mere consoomeristic tools that want to grab all your money, and the stories filled with propaganda messages, that are just the opinion of the authors but could eventually brainwash the player.
I get Steam but I need a graphics card to run my PC without my PC I can't do anything, including work.
