My partner and I had fast, but successful sex yesterday. I Oed for the first time in about seven weeks. I wondered how i would feel today.

    1. Even though I've never drank or gotten drunk I woke up feeling what I assume would be called hungover. My head particularly I think what is the frontal lobe has been throbbing continuously with my heartbeat. I've also felt very down and depressed and overall BLAH. I guess now the key is how LONG will I feel this way. I'm hoping my brain has healed enough to adapt and get over it fairly quick.

Apparently he said "Please, sex is good. Let's not be fanatics. God made sex for enjoyment."

Not sure how that applies to this post, but there ya go.

I think he means that you seems to even regret the sex you had, because you're worried that this could be bad for you and it should be avoided. Hence the "don't be fanatics".

Yes, I think he misunderstood. I enjoyed the sex, but the emotions and headaches are caused by a hangover effect. Hence, still healing.

    bro, this pretty funny :D
like, in case you forget, sex feels good, haha (although I dont think God needed to convince me to do it Lol). It is cool that this forum is multi-lingual though.

Anyway, I first want to congratulate you for checking in about this and taking stock of your emotions and feelings. Not easy to do, and very important for recovery.

I would think youd feel that way for maybe 1-2 days, because the body's reward pathways are just kind of burnt/damaged from the years of PMO. What can help a lot is getting oxytocin from activities like cuddling, touch, and emotional bonding after sex. Basically helping to level out the physical processes. I think part of the issue (if youre like me) is that O is often related to weird shit depending on what kind of P you used to watch. So sometimes the body is just reacting to those past negative experiences.

Is your partner supportive of you going through this? If you have the courage for it / you think they're receptive, Id ask for them to show a little extra emotional care afterward, even just a text message or call the next day.

I have this. I had an intense wet dream with a shockingly intense O. Headache was throbbing. And I still have it now extremely faintly 6 months later. It's not even a 1 on the pain scale but it's there. it comes and goes. It sucks. I went to the doctor about it and he didn't seem to know what to do.

Nothing to do but tough it out really. I got headache meds from a neurologist and it did no good. If it gets too bad I just take Ibeuprophren

Yeah, it's been tough. But I take it as a good sign as it first started when I went on hard mode and stopped edging. And then it started again after a crazy orgasm, and then again after relapse. So it made it clear to me that it was related to porn addiction. MY brain was healing up or just couldn't handle the sensation.

Like I said in another thread I made 90 days is the bare minimum of time it takes. Those of us with 20 plus years of porn and masturbation addiction might take 2 to 3 years to recover like a drug addict.

Maybe, but last year I only watched porn 3 times. And same the year before that, about 6 times. So my recovery is all over the place. I've seen very good benefits the last few days. I'd go as far as saying my flatline has ended!
