Hi everyone, I'm about to begin studying addiction and therapy at the King's College in London, England. The science behind addictions interests me, especially its effects on the limbic system in the brain. I kicked out a PMO addiction nearly a year ago after I discovered how bad it was for not just mental but physical health. It was 'easy' for me to quit but I can only attribute this to having a busy schedule. What I think drives people to relapse the most is boredom.
Hey there! welcome. I'm happy to hear your success with quiting PMO. Would you talk a bit about how you were able to achieve this? I also completely agree with you on boredom being a strong stimuli for PMO addiction. Personally I think Stress and Anxiety are also the other big causes of PMO related behavior.
