Society wants you to feel hopeless

I used to see it at least once a day, another piece of information that simply causes me to feel hopeless. Some of our biggest fears of ending up loveless and alone just being driven in further. When you say it aloud, when you feel like all you ever wanted in life is love. You have people jump on it and tell you that it is the worst thing you can do. Don’t get married, don’t have kids, women only want to use you. All of this negative programming causes us to either be depressed or bitter. To feel so hopeless that it just turns into apathy. That you don’t even have the energy to fight back if someone were to try and take what is yours. For you to even feel like you were wrong for wanting love. That as humans we are just animals who want to fuck, who want to have the best and be the best. Aren’t we better than that? Are us men really just walking pent up lust? Is every woman we see simply reduced to a piece of meat? I don’t think so as why would I want to see life that way? What kind of knowledge can I gather thinking like a caveman? I don’t blame women for being single, for having all these standards. Look who is in their ear? Do you think porn is good for them? Do you think showing off your body for strangers is really something to be proud of? It’s what is being sold now, that you should be able to act however you want. It’s really sad that such beauty is being stepped on everyday. We come here to stop acting like this, to stop leering at every woman we see. Society calls us perverted monsters when we do what we are told. When we don’t, we are creeps who can’t get over urges. So what the hell are we supposed to do, but to do what is in our heart. We know what’s right and wrong no matter what the mouthpiece says.

 

I have been trying my best to tune out the "noise" from the outside world. This "mouthpiece" isn't in our best interest. It is challenging, but I try my best.

 

It is all about trying, putting in your all even if you still slip and fall. My brother I hold onto passion and would let my fingers come with it. Do not let go of that part of yourself that’s so beautiful. Please, I warn everyone, once that’s gone it’s over. I know you can do it as long as you remember what matters most. Be safe out there.

 

I also apologize for certain vagueness, as in who is the mouth piece? Who are these people wanting to hurt us? I understand I shouldn’t write that way but I can’t explain it more than I have. I just want anyone to see that I care and all I’m here to do is share something about life.
