I was thinking for a while that I would just watch porn one time as a way of making it through the year. So far I haven’t had the urge to watch it like I used to. But I am somewhat divided on if I should watch it or not. I’m leaning forwards not watching it, but it’s been a while since I’ve seen porn. Is it a good idea or will it potentially restart a relapse? I need some help in this.
My question would be, what for? What value will it bring? I think if you are just holding out to watch it then relapse will be inevitable. My advice would be to reward yourself with something else. This is of course assuming that you were addicted to begin with.
No, i dont understand why you would. Make a nice dinner, buy some snacks and watch a regular movie instead. I myself find regular movies much more emotionally stimulating since stopping porn. On porn i was numb.
Porn is not a reward it's a punishment for brain. U can condition yourself to not watch porn. Just stay away from it. Focus on other things instead, buy a new book or go for a visit in the park.
I think it is an incredibly bad idea. It's like a recovering alcoholic that says "I'll have a beer and a shot to celebrate to my sobriety."
Well I watched it 4 years ago .I was on day 19 and then rest is history. This will only bring regret to you. But I won't stop you because at the end of the day you will do what you want to do .
Holy crap I didn’t expect so much people to reply. Your right that it does pretty much bring regret after your done with it. I’ll do something else other than relapse again
Respectfully, I think this is something you should really reflect on. This is an addiction, which means it would be absolutely the same thing if an alcoholic considered having a few beers on new year's eve night to celebrate his sobriety. In no universe, reality, or dimension would this be a good idea.
