I've lived with this decade old, personal addiction for a very long time now. Too long.
I'm 23 this year.. I want to go out and see the world some more instead of being cooped up in my head and in my fantasy world.

Benefits I'm mostly looking forward to on my NoFap journey would be:

    - Socialising more (and more effectively)
    - Better levels of self control
    - A developing of appropriate coping mechanisms/living patterns not revolving around PMO.
    - A boost in confidence and natural sustainability
    - More fun in day-to-day activities
    - Making more friends

To feel like I'm not alone right now on my journey to recovery means a lot to me at this moment - I really hope we can all beat this thing and take back what we had before it all started.

.. I think that's enough for introduction. Wish me luck guys :)

Welcome to NoFap where you are amongst friends who are here to encourage you and not judge you.

What are your current strategies for combating the enemy called PMO?

That's a really good question and I appreciate you for asking it.

I think the main strategy and the most seemingly prevalent in this situation would be: reaching out for help (via NoFap) when I need it.
My previous attempts at NoFap had involved an environment unchanged.

Alongside with a short-lived taste of what rock bottom felt like, an adaptation of previous lessons learned and a new-found audacious attitude is leaving me feeling optimistic.

Still, its only day two. I think for the moment I'm just staying on guard.

My biggest enemy is the out-of-the-blue compulsion that hits you after the first few days.

    Strategies:

    - Use NoFap
    - Ask for help
    - Allow myself to be bored (as opposed to having to be mentally in action all the time with something).
    - Remaining on guard
    - Renewing commitment every day

That's all I have for the moment. I'm sure to have some more strategies later on in my journey.. maybe I'll end up doing one of those journal things :)
