For all those who dont know , im 21 M and 35 days in ..im seeing steady progress but i want things to be fast..there are important things which i have to do and cant wait for myself to get fully recovered..
So a few days ago i read an article which said that PMO and all its aftereffects take a nice toll on the adrenal glands and that excessive fatigue can be a sign of adrenal fatigue..i searched the symptoms of adrenal fatigue but i cant say i have all of them..
But anyways , i have observed the fact quite astutely that whenever i consume caffeine , instead of energizing me it puts in a state of limbo , ( confusion and restlessness) ..and for a fact even cigarettes have a negative impact on adrenal glands..
But at the end of the day i want a clean life without any stimulants and addictions...what was PMO if not an addiction , an addiction for 3hich i had to pay dearly..a stimulant which makes people oblivious..caffeine may not be an addiction of mine but cigarettes are..
So im gonna try to weed out any kind of stimulants like caffeine and nicotine from my life and then report back here..and i'll do it the same way i did away with PMO , on the other side , in a moment , no coming back..( at least what i aspire to do)
    Thanks guys.

I have to chuckle a bit at this. Like what a shocker, the drug thats killed millions of people has negative health side effects - lol.
now I used to smoke and drink a lot and I can tell you that finding "better" alternatives as a crutch towards sobriety *can* help a lot.

Yes, coffee and cigarettes are not good for you. Yes, they drain your adrenals. Sure, if you can cut them out you should.

But if coffee (which doesnt kill you or damage anywhere near as bad as cigarettes) can keep you from a PMO addiction destroying your life, it might not be a bad stepping stone. there are better ones, of course. Just a caution against the "cold turkey spartan games" i see here all too much.

btw, in case you dont already know, coffee and cigarettes are popular among recovering addicts because they are an upper AND a downer simultaneously.

eventually we can find another things in life to bring us joy and dopamine. nature, hobbies, friends, etc.
