Hello all, I am new here. I've been struggling with PMO for nearly all my life. Almost 30 years of masturbation addiction. 20+ years of porn addiction. In my late 20s I got into addictive relationships. This addiction destroyed my life. I gave it my best years. It had dire consequences on my male health. I had a year and a half of abstinence in my mid 20s with a 12 step group. I had 5 months of abstinence in 2020. And today I am at 118 days of abstinence. Also I am a year+ away from binging on PMO which is a big deal for me. I participate in 12 step meetings and in another porn addiction forum. Today I was feeling sad and lonely at home and this seemed like the right thing to do. No kids, never married, thanks largely to this disease. Alcohol free, tobacco free, drug free. By the grace of God. Highly educated but working a lower paying job in an unrelated field thanks mainly to mental health issues and a spotty employment history. God plays a big role in my life. I try to attend church services regularly and participate in confession. I was able to return to the religion of my childhood after getting some clean time from PMO. Glad to be on this forum
