    Hello

my younger brother who is 24 has an issue of talking to himself out loud. Sounds and talks like his making sense but we are know he’s not in his right state and somehow he knows it cos he says things like he’s not himself when those happen. We’ve taking him to the rehab twice already, he come out fine for some time, next thing it’s happening again. He can talk to himself out loud all day. Sometimes he won’t be able to sleep.

Go back to the rehab centrum. We are no doctors either.

Does your younger brother look at porn or masturbate? tell him to stop doing those activities… that’s the only advice I can give

But that hasn't helped in the past. The definition of insanity is doing the same thing again and again hoping for different results.

Many countries don't have the mental health support that people need. Dr Rangan Chatterjee is one of the most respected GPs in the UK and has talked about how in the medical system there's such a rigid approach to people's health issues. Doctors are taught that if a patient has a problem there's only one solution and most are scared to look for other solutions.

You might find this TED Talk helpful. It's by a woman who has voices in her head. She talks about how the medical system failed her and what helped her.

It sounds like a difficult situation for your family. I haven't experienced exactly what you're going through, but I came across insomnia problems lately, and I understand how difficult it can be when a loved one is dealing with mental health issues. I also take Silenor (find info at Canadian pharmacy) to sleep better. Have you considered seeking help from a specialist or therapist who specializes in these kinds of situations? They might be able to offer some useful tips and support for both your brother and your family.

  8. Isn't this environment for you? I would suggest professional help for that and PMO questions here.
