I've been addicted for a while and it's brought me nothing but misery. Trying to quit is so hard because porn is everywhere and you have the instrument to enable it attached to you. But is it really as addictive as drugs?
As someone who has been a drug addict, I've seen horrendous things from those with substance abuse issues. To date I have never heard of a P overdose, or someone homeless because of P. I've never seen someone let their limbs rot off from infection because of P. I've never heard of someone selling their families stuff for more P or turning tricks for P. Granted this isn't to say P isn't bad or that it hasn't caused suffering, it has, but I don't think it's come close to scratching the surface of a true substance abuse addiction.
Rape, harassment, molestation, imprisonment, trafficking, affairs, job loss…. You don’t think that’s possibly caused by porn/sex addiction? That’s where it can escalate to.
A porn addiction is easier to hide than drugs. But both are dangerous addictions. Well, I went into debt by spending money on cam girls. I suppose I wasn't as bad as some drug addicts since I didn't seal or sell things to tip cam girls but going into debt was pretty bad. I can't but feel the increase in men sending women dick pics is due to porn.
Let's be clear, I'm talking about the severity of the consequences to the addict. From the list you gave I can see harassment, job loss, affairs, and possible imprisonment as being some consequences a P addict could face, but the probability of that is also extremely low. For example a P addict could lose their job if caught viewing P on a company device. A P addict might have a spouse cheat on them. A P addict might experience harassments if their P addiction is exposed publicly. A P addict might face imprisonment when the genre of P they're viewing is illegal. Now it terms of suffering the two cause others, well, I think we can both agree the amount is substantial and terrible. The sex trafficking industry is barbaric and so is the drug trade industry. I agree P is easier to hide than drugs, but I don't know what you mean by 'both are dangerous'. What dangerous consequences does a P addict possibly face when watching P?

drugs are more chaotic nicotine is 100x more addictive than porn ever hear of chain smoking drugs are always going to be more addictive because your body cannot keep up with porn where as narcotics you could inject smoke snort until you drop dead of a heart attack its all.relates to dopamine everything that runs off dopamine can be addictive. porn is not physically addictive. some drugs are. i would no say porn is more addictive no its just a different kind of addiction
actually thats not true nicotine cocaine and heroin are more effective and much more powerful than watching porn you have no odea the high you get ive never tried heroin or will i but nicotine crosses the blood brain barrier fully intact aswell as cocaine and cocaine is very addictive porn is minimal in comparison especially to the side effects, porn just feels good in the genitals and brain but cocaine produces very high levels of dopamine in the brain. nicotine is much more normalised and very heavy smokers become neurotic and smoke every 15 minutes porn does not produce that kind of effect . being horny obviously has effects but in an ideal world you have a partner or you jack off couple times a week . imstead of 3 times a day the reason people compulsively masterbate is because they have nothing else to do. ive taken afes drugs in my time and been addicted to a few . cocaine, tobacco, amphetamines , sugar , nicotine. i can tell you porn is not the worst and is more controllable and not as imminently demanding or physically and mentally stressful. porn cant kill you the rest can it is addictive for sure but good to have perspective
