I haven't got much to say about myself, but I am striving for purity like many others. My goal is to quit porn and create useful & healthy habits instead. Luckily, my addiction isn't causing problems in my social life, yet I want to quit for good. Thank you.
Dear @Marcolob It's a brave step coming to these forums, aiming for purity and creating useful & healthy habits. This is a noble, yet sometimes quite difficult, undertaking. We are all here to help in your journey. Here's some stuff that I do to overcome PMO: 1. Check in to these forums every day 2. Welcoming newcomers (like I do now) 3. Prayer 2-3 times per day (minimum 2 times) 4. Exercising every day, except Sundays 5. Always work towards clear goals that I set for myself. Keeping myself busy, never sitting idle 6. Keeping in touch through Private messages with other people here in the forums. This is a great way to connect and to share thoughts that I normally wouldn't in the public forums. Feel free to write me a pm, I'll answer whatever queries you may have or thoughts you want to share. Kudos to @GeorgeJetson. My steps above are inspired by his action-oriented approach/method to beating PMO. Wishing you all the best, and a Happy New Year! ~Simorgh
