Hey i am a highschool student today i relapsed again, i have been trying a while now to cut off porn i almost succeeded at some point and i lasted a month and a half but at that point i had made a gf which i am still with today we did some things that got me aroused but i didn't finish so i finished myself off now it has been weeks i have been trying since then to cut it off again but every week she comes to my house we do stuff and even if i do finish i still watch porn the day after and masturbate and now that it has become a long distance relationship and the pressure for my finals have made it that i am still masturbating once every week without fail, i have noticed that staying on my pc in my room appears to be my trigger but with all that's going on that is the only time i can actually feel chill, now i wanna seriously quit i feel like it is affecting my social personality and my relationship and my mental health and overthinking in a negative way but maybe it's just placebo id care tho i just never want to do it again i want to orgasm and feel this kind of sexual pleasure only when she comes back again and i am the best version of myself, i'll try my best again

    Welcome. Glad you are here.

Take some time to read the reboot material (available here => http://www.nofap.com/getting-started) and come up with a plan for what you will do when you are faced with urges. It has good advice, so don't skip it! :)

Perhaps start writing a journal - if you feel comfortable telling people about happened and what's going on now, you will start to feel accountable to them. You may even inspire others. It's a nice feeling! This will help your recovery.

Also, try to add something into your life that makes you the kind of person who doesn't engage in PMO. Think about doing:

    • Something you enjoy
    • Something you're good at
    • Something important
    • Something for somebody else, without thought of reward (and if you DO get an unintended reward, do something ELSE, perhaps for a different person or group).
Read the journals of others - we all learn from each other. Don't just stay within your own age group or part of the world. Share your knowledge in a respectful way.

This is a great post about what lies ahead of you during the reboot. https://www.nofap.com/forum/index.php?threads/time-to-be-done-with-this.140257/page-26#post-1442099

This is a fantastic way to explain what you'll be feeling during your reboot.

    Read, learn, apply.

Look around the forums, get to know people. Everyone is friendly, and will try to support you. We're all in the same boat here. :)

Be kind to others and others will be kind to you, both here and IRL. And remember, it's not a challenge - it's a lifestyle change.

I wish you a successful reboot.

Ok, so you identified a major trigger. Good for you.

And you are motivated to do some changes in your life. Good for you.

And then you sabotage yourself. Just like addicts do. Thats the reason why quitting is "so hard" and why people fail over and over again. You will have to realize sooner or later, that the process of quitting porn is uncomfortable. It will get easier tho and many other blessings will enter your life aferwards, that will stop you from wanting to crawl back into your addict corpse again.

I would advice to go radical for a short period of time. Cut of your internet access. You are a high school student, you dont need internet for work. Only use the internet in public places like the library or a cafe. It will make your reboot so much easier. If thats too much for you, then get a good blocker like plucky and block Youtube, all Images and all videos from the internet.

I wish the best for you!
