All staff what y have, all changes that y are going threw, include your depression, your mood from happiness to depression, your thoughts that everything is bad, your changeable wishes and etc. How do you know that this is not bipolar disorder or another thing??
Are y like me,just oriented by feelings, that all changes started when you quit from porn?

Get checked out. It’s not great, it’s not like mental health is down to a precise science, but it’s the best you can do right now.

Porn addiction is real. Psychologists and psychiatrists tend to have trouble recognizing this, but it’s real. It is often a symptom of poor mental health to begin with, often as a bad coping mechanism for psychological distress, but it also creates more problems. Don’t let them tell you otherwise. However, bipolar disorder is also real, and compulsion to PMO can be a symptom of that as well.

Think of your mental health as a tangled knot. You’ve got multiple issues, they’re all part of a bigger problem. In order to fix the whole knot, you have to start on one thing or the other. Now, you might get started by addressing porn addiction. If you can get that under control, maybe your symptoms that look like bipolar will reduce, even fully go away. Or, maybe you won’t be able to get it under control. Maybe you will start counting your days, get accountability, exercise, quit social media, maybe use a blocker, journal, and you still will have trouble with using porn during a manic or depressive episode. In that case, I’d look into seeing a doctor, and see if getting on bipolar medication would be a good call. But one thing I know for sure; if you can get off of porn you should, because porn makes you feel better in the short term but much worse in the long term and increases your dependency on porn. It’s a cycle.

I wish there was a better way to diagnose BPD vs. porn addiction, but this is where we’re at in 2024.
