I'm hoping to get a better grip on my addiction to porn. I've successfully stopped using drugs (illegal) on my own and have been sober for years. This addiction to porn is the only thing I've not been able to get over on my own. I was introduced to sex very very early in life ( about 4 yrs old or so) by means of porn. I didn't understand then why I was so interested in it. Now as a grown man I completely understand. At one point, the darkest point in my life- porn was the cause of that point-I lost everything. Now I'm living a much better life, yet this "thing" still has a hold however small compared to before. Any amount is too much, for far too long.

    Hey Demer!

First, welcome to the NoFap community! I'm Yibo. When I first joined about 10 days ago, I was just like you. I had been struggling to fight my porn addiction but just kept relapsing. over and over. It was so damn frustrating.

Today, thanks to everyone on this community, I have been able to go 10 whole days - the longest I've ever gone without PMO since I first got addicted when I was 14 years old.

I wrote about how I did this in this post http://nofap.com/forum/index.php?th...a-beginners-definitive-system-to-nofap.37989/.

It's quite a long read, but I think it'll help you out!

    Yours,
    Yibo

Welcome, Demer! The fact that you were able to overcome drug usage is a testament to your willpower. I'm guessing you put conscious effort into putting an end to that usage; doing the same with porn is essential, as are (in my experience) having a clear-cut goal and having some method to check your progress. Best wishes to you!
