If someone has a sport clothes fetish, a jeans fetish or a fetish for t-shirts :D for example and wears those clothes without masturbating, does it count as a relapse?

I used those clothes as placeholders for whatever specific material fetish someone can have -like latex, leather, etc.
I was just wondering, if living out a fetish -like i mentioned a specific clothes related fetish or anything else count as a relapse, if someone does not masturbate while wearing those specific clothes.

  5. trying to find "cheats" to relapse or not doesnt sound like a road to recovery. Honestly, anything to do with "fetishes" is a way to bring the brain back to PMO. it feeds the "its taboo its off limits omg!" dopamine addiction and adrenaline rush.

if anything feels remotely like a kink or a relapse / trigger - why not just avoid it for now? Go to 90 days and see how you feel. I find I lose a lot my "kinks" when I have great sober streaks. this shit isnt biologically imprinted or something we must need. Its fucking porn killing us by creating new ways to route the poison into our brain.

go 90 days sober and then ask the question. till then I suggest removing any "fetishes" from your life / daily experience.

I think it depends. The whole principal on NF is to quit porn b/c for some it causes addictive behavior to an unnatural representation of sex that causes significant mental health problems.

Do fetishes cause a problem? Sometimes, b/c fetishes tend to be highly specific and not commonplace. So to explore and enjoy arousal those with a fetish frequently use porn to achieve fetish-orgasm.

My take: if you're not using hours of porn, or fantasizing or masturbating constantly you're okay.

But if you're trying to reboot then walking around in a self-perpetuated state of arousal is not a good plan.

You are completely right. I think my brain just needed a way to get his dopamine from anything else than porn. It's scary how your own brain can trick you.

It's a fetish that I have since early childhood, long before i did start to watch porn.

I think that living with my fetish will lead to a relapse. It's crazy how i did not think about the relapse risk, when I posted this. This just shows how your brain can make you do the things it wants you to do.
