  1. Just wondering if anyone on here has or had a serious gambling addiction that they have quit?

Growing up I was constantly told gambling was a sin and that scared me away from it. Only recently I started gambling but I'm extra careful. The most I've spent in a single bet is £5 and I never chase my losses. Most of the bets I do are free bets and when I do pay it's either for big sporting events like the World Cup or to deposit my free bet winnings. I'm grateful gambling isn't an addiction for me.

Here's a good documentary on gambling addiction.

  4. Thanks for sharing . It’s taken me 20 years to get this deep into gambling. Just be aware of it because it usually progressively gets worse until it consumes everything.

I had that habit and I lost so much money and all the money was from my mum account and since she knew about my activities she beat me very hard and force me to go through total detox and restricted every pathway , so I had to quit.

I don't want to be arrogant because I used to think I could never get addicted to porn and I did. But I think I'm not wired for gambling addiction. I think everyone is vulnerable to one addiction or another but it's all down to how we're wired. Porn seems to be the only major addiction I have.

You're not the only one, I've heard of others stealing money from their parents to gamble.

While I'm not endorsing or promoting any gambling activities, this website provides useful information for those interested in learning more about sportsbooks. Remember, quitting any addiction is a personal decision, and it's important to find the right support system that works for you.

Hmm, you probably won before and wanted to chase the high again?
I attempted to gamble before and lost a decent amount so that stopped me from ever doing it again. Thankfully because I would’ve been addicted too.

Hey, I appreciate your honesty in bringing up such a personal topic. Kudos to anyone who's been through the journey of overcoming a gambling addiction—it's not easy, but it's incredibly courageous. Quitting takes strength and support. Speaking of which, have you ever checked out tipster competitions? I've heard they can be a positive way to stay engaged with the betting scene without falling into the addictive patterns. It's always helpful to find alternatives and build a supportive community around your interests.
