I have been addicted to porn for only two years when i realized it was a problem in late 2018 when i had escalated to some "questionable porn". So it will only take me 4 months to reboot?
Lol, I don't think this is right 90-days is the gold standard, I did notice lots of benefits after two months in rebooting including much less and controllable urge. Besides, there is no scientific studies or official experiments to support what you're saying = I'd rather stick to my belief of 90 days.
OMG, I'm millennial teenage so that means im Z generation. The problem is I've been watching porn for 10 years, YES, from I was 7 till 17yo. 2010-END 2019. From regular to hard candy. Clearnet to darknet. Now I got 20 months or almost 2 years, approx. 606 DAYS! Dude, what a record. Pray for me, last sunday I got miracle now I have to protect the seed god had given to me.
don't believe this 2 months per year bullshit. There is no scientific evidence to back up these claims up. Brain scans of long term (5-25 years of addiction) cocaine, heroine and alcohol addicts have shown that brain needs on average 6-11 months of complete abstinence to recover, up to 70 weeks (17 months) in worse cases. I was addicted to daily (P)MO binges for 25 years and it took me around 10-11 months of complete abstinence to recover. Here's actual peer-reviewed science behind these numbers: https://journals.plos.org/plosone/article?id=10.1371/journal.pone.0059645 https://jamanetwork.com/journals/jamapsychiatry/fullarticle/1874574
There’s no solid evidence for this poster’s pseudo-equation. Take it a day at a time and just enjoy the improvements. Don’t hang your hat on this kind of baloney that people love to spout.
I cannot speak for others, but I consider my reboot pretty well complete in 3 months. I have been fapping for 25 years so by your equation I would need 50 months or 4 years to reboot. This is obviously not true. Our brains are very plastic and adaptable and will rapidly move to correct any imbalances, so I think 3 months for most people who do not have chronic physical conditions should be plenty of time. This is only for the physical healing however, and keep in mind most people who are addicted to porn also have psychological hangups, much caused by porn, but some would be there without porn. So in my opinion the psychological dimension, which is not physical, is the thing that keeps many people from thinking they are cured of porn addiction. Many people view nofap as a chore, or something which keeps them from what they consider is the pleasure of porn. However, if they change their attitude and view porn as poison and not a pleasure, but as something which has trapped their brain into wanting it continuously, it will soon become something you want to avoid and never use again. So remember, porn has captured your brain, made you into an addict, given you all sorts of psychological symptons and hangups, and is desperate to keep you hooked to it's poison. Porn is poison not pleasure, view it as such and you should be well within 3 months. Cheers for now.
