I was a compulsive news reader and gave it up. It was making me to cynical and bitter. I now too ocassionally listen to NPR while driving. Too much of that crap just brings me down. Good choice.
I made it thru the day with no online chess and no addictive eating. I plan the same for the next 24 along with no regular coffee. I'm determined to get thru the stuff that's always held me back. 25 days- moving on.
Thanks for your kind words brother. Im never going back Also congrats on your 180 days, what a huge achievement!
getting harder and harder. The thing is no matter hard I try, I cannot get rid of all possible pornography resources on my computer. I am not a computer geek. I don't know how to block all of it. So it keeps remaining in my mind as a shadow and I know that I can always find P whenever the urge is too strong to hold.
You will always have the opportunity to look at porn if you really want to. But you can make it very inconvenient. First, choose who you want to be and what kind of life you want to have, and get on your own team. Then take action to increase your commitment. Chrome has filters that will block most porn sites from your computer. Perhaps do that and delete any other browsers from your computer that don't have adult filtering. I know there are lots of suggestions on other parts of the nofap website.
Frustration ,depression , anxiety and fear have come together to kill me...can't concentrate at anything. Life has become a living hell.
I want to ask you...does all negative thoughts and frustration subsidie after sometime....i feel like crying..please tell me.
Check out the free program K9. It's pretty easy to set up, and it'll block most P, and do so across all your browsers, making it harder to cheat. Of course no blocker is perfect, and most of them are fairly easy to bypass if you're determined, so they're really just a tool to help, not a total solution. That comes with doing the inner work, deciding to leaving the P behind, and replacing it with more positive activities as you build a better life. We have all felt the urges, so don't feel discouraged, just keep trying your best to let them pass, as you take small steps forward.
I have noticed that as well. Let's just take it as additional motivation to keep going. If all goes well we'll have 2 people beating this challenge in 2 days, that would truly be special. I'll try my best to fullfil my part of that deal, and I'll be watching you
