Does anyone feel like music sound so much more better when your on a nofap streak? I remember when I was on a 10 day streak and I listened to Lorde's album Melodrama and cried for the first time when listening to music, it feels like when I'm not a streak I don't feel as much of an emotional connection to the lyrics and it just feels like background noise at times

Just when I'm relistening to songs I've loved in the past now that I fully understand them.

Limp Bizkit's Behind Blue Eyes actually made me cry. Just so much relation to being a lonely adult.

Same goes for Race Against Myself by The Offspring. It's my theme song now

Porn deadens us, emotionally. Just like food tastes better to a smoker when he stops, music and other emotional experiences, even basic friendships, are intensified for an addict when he stops numbing himself with porn. A lot of it is negative emotions. That’s why we numb it up. But if you stick with it and learn how to process negative emotions in a healthy way, positive emotions come through as well.

And btw, “Behind Blue Eyes” was original to The Who, not Limp Bizkit, though they did deliver a decent cover.

Yeah I know it's a cover, but I think it's the best version

And it's strange that when I'd be fapping like crazy, I get flooded with negative emotions. It's always 'woe is me', 'nobody wants me' etc. I'd get extremely jealous and whiny when I hear about other people having sex, but no one offers it to me. I'm leaving that whole mindset entirely. It makes me a walking red flag

Yes, yes, yes. Music does feel so much better. I am at five months of nofap, and music never felt so much relieving.

I am glad you noticed it, and I clicked with your thoughts.
