Your life is like a garden. If you’re not intentional, your garden will be overrun with weeds and randomness. This occurs if you have too many competing goals and priorities.

The clearest indicator of your true commitments lies in your actions. Your behavior serves as a mirror reflecting your level of dedication, and consequently, your outcomes mirror that dedication. Commitment is not merely a declaration, it's a manifestation of reality. Your commitments are revealed not through verbal affirmations but through tangible results. Every individual is inherently committed, and the results they generate serve as evidence of this commitment. If you genuinely aspire to embrace something novel and superior, you'll inevitably discontinue many of your current actions.

Minor objectives hold allure due to their simplicity. They provide immediate gratification or a dopamine rush, often leading us to prioritize them over our sincere aspirations. These minor objectives can be likened to weeds in the landscape of life. Each time you pursue a minor goal, it's akin to sowing a weed in your garden. The seeds you sow determine the yield you reap. What is the harvest of your efforts? Is your garden cultivated to nurture your Future Self, or is it overrun with disorder and weeds?

What are you currently saying "yes" to that your envisioned Future Self would firmly decline? Which ongoing commitments and investments are leading you astray from your desired path? This self-assessment necessitates raw honesty. Your actions serve as a clear reflection of your priorities at every juncture. At each moment, you are confronted with the decision to either pursue your true purpose or yield to lesser pursuits. The ongoing process of eliminating minor objectives is a continuous endeavor. Almost always, you are presented with multiple options, distractions, external pressures, and internal conflicts. It takes mindfulness and discernment to discern, in any given moment, the most advantageous decision to make.

When you believe you require something, it indicates an unhealthy attachment. Needing suggests a profound sense of deficiency, implying that you cannot achieve completeness or happiness until the need is satisfied. Wanting is a healthier perspective than needing, yet it still denotes a state of insufficiency. Wanting presupposes a lack of possession. Knowing surpasses wanting in terms of consciousness. Knowing entails acknowledging that you already possess what you desire. It allows you to dwell in a state of acceptance, tranquility, and appreciation.

If an individual is certain that they will rise the next morning and head to the gym, their mindset will differ from someone who merely desires to do so. Knowing is an internal sensation, a state of complete acceptance.

Take a moment to envision your Future Self with vivid clarity. Picture yourself precisely where you aspire to be. Are you residing in a specific house? Enjoying a warm moment by the fireplace with your partner? Crossing the finish line of a marathon at a particular speed? Embrace this vision as a certainty, something you already possess deep within you.

One of the main obstacles preventing individuals from attaining their desires is a sense of unworthiness. While they may envision their goals in their minds, they emotionally struggle to accept them as their reality. They lack belief in their Future Self and in the possibility of abundance being within their reach. This internal resistance acts as a barrier, hindering their progress.

Napoleon Hill famously stated, "Whatever the mind can conceive and believe, the mind can achieve."

In the depth of struggle, amidst the chaos of addiction, we find the resilience to fight. In the journey of recovery, we unearth the strength to overcome. And in the end, victory is not just winning battles, but rising from the ashes, reborn in the fire of our own resilience.
