I don’t know of any free filters. Everything I’ve found costs money, which isn’t surprising. Sometimes the cost is a one time thing and sometimes it’s a subscription.
Also, the act of investing money in something for your sobriety CAN give you an extra motivation to quit. "WHY the hell did I spend all that money, if I deactivate this blocker to look at porn??!"
I agree plus some of the providers have low subscription costs. For example Detoxify is like $5 a month and Cold Turkey has a one time option of $30. I use both on my PC.
Well Can't really recommend any particular software thingy, but there is a special feature in google view that blurs anything p*rn related.
I've used Covenant Eyes for years. I've tried a lot of other filters before with unacceptable results. I pay $16/month to filter all of my devices and send reports to my allies. Worth every penny
I agree it’s an ass backwards situation…porn should be already filtered and those who want to view it should have to pay to see it. Everyone chimes in with “free speech” and “free expression” but that’s bullshit. We have public decency laws…so if the internet is a public tool/space it should have the same laws to a degree.
