This may be case to case basis, but whenever I was on a long streak, & had alcohol just to party with friends--- 99% of times I relapsed to porn or by going to a massage parlour. When you are 6 to 8 months clean, body has tremendous ability to repair itself - just don't let intoxicants and drugs destroy long streaks
I havent touched a drop of alcohol in years. My life is much better for it. But yeah, as addicts anything that impairs the executive brain function (which process decision making) is going to be a fast lane to relapse. Just the sad reality of impulse control. Its really good you are recognizing these things about yourself!
Yea it’s different for some people. A lot of people I talk to get more sexually loose, aroused and excited after drinking. For me it’s the opposite and works like any depressant should, I get more tired, sleepy, unaroused and philosophical. In fact alcohol is one of my methods of retention or a tool to keep myself pure
