Hey guys, need some advice here. Basically I’m trying to do a 90 day reboot. This is day 7, and I noticed that even though I’ve stopped PMO, my thoughts are still very much in it.

I still find myself fantasizing about people I meet or see and I feel like this is setting me back. This usually happens at night time, so it’s more difficult for me to do stuff to take my mind off of it. I realise that I’m fantasizing, but when I try to stop, it takes ages, and I usually wake up doing the same.

I feel like even though I think I’m doing well with this, the fantasizing is holding me back and is the last thing I need to stop to get a full reboot. Any suggestions?

Your not alone brother the SAME thing happens to me to at night. Im on day 5 now and I still get those fantasizing thoughts. All I can tell you from my experience is just to find a good hobby or just do an exercise everytime you thing of a dirty thought (like push-ups). Do productive things that you enjoy that gets you totally immersed into it. When your totally immersed into something that you love to do (NOT PMO) you don't think about anything else but the activity or hobby that your doing. This too I'm still struggling with but I know day by day the fantasies are SLOWLY fading away. Hope this helps brother. Keep fighting the good fight!

cheers man, I'll give that a go. I'm not that fit yet, so some extra exercise might give me a little boost in that department too. anything is better than that! it's so frustrating when you know you shouldn't be thinking these things, but you do anyway!

when i fantasize i straight up whisper "no" to myself (nah i yell as loud as i can) and that usually helps.
If it aint real i dont fear it
If it dont hit my spirit i dont get near it

Dont be afraid to be hard on yourself. You have to. Get mad at yourself, thats just what works for me. Sometimes i even fight with my own brain LMAO. Ill get an urge an i will think "wow dont be weak and give up loser" then some voice from the heavens fights back and says "outta my face let me live bro i do what i want" ahah but thats just an example you get the point. It really helps me. I dont know what i said but i said it, too tired for this i needa get to bed peace good luck AHAHAHAHHAH

Hi Benny. Well done on making it to day 7! I think fantasising is all part of the reboot process. In general, I'd say it's better for your dopamine levels to fantasise than watch P. I suppose it depends on what your fantasies are. Are they P-related or more 'sexual' in nature? Either way, I'd suggest that they'll be less frequent the closer you get to your goal.

    Keep fighting the good fight.

    Thanks, Jonathan.
They're more 'sexual in nature' I suppose, but I feel that they're unhealthy. It's almost like i'm using it as P sub. I'm sure you're right that they'll go away, but right now I think I need to try and stop them, or else I might end up relapsing. Better safe than sorry. I have tried to do some exercise and (literally) telling myself no, and it seems to have worked slightly? I'll have to wait and see.

The fact that they're more 'sexual' than P-related is a good thing. It's a sign that your reboot is taking effect. It may well be acting as a P-sub, which although could be worse, it would be better if it wasn't. Personally, I find that using this site as a P-sub works really well, as does the Panic button. Well done on giving exercise a go, I'd imagine that will help a lot. Within my first 7 days I had a few P fantasies but I'm finding that they disappear through time.

thanks, perhaps is shouldn't worry about it so much. just be mindful of it. obviously if it happens when i'm asleep or not in control another way (not sure how but hey-hey) then I won't care as much.
