Is this a Relapse?

Knowing I probably shouldn't, I looked up some images on social media of an old friend. The photos are pretty suggestive (them at the beach with clear emphasis on parts of the body). She is very sexy, and not exactly shy about showing it off. I know it's not porn, but it felt almost like looking at something softcore. I encounter these sorts of images on a regular basis really, but the fact that I justified going and looking for it is the difference. Is this considered a relapse? Technically I didnt pmo in any way but I know that was a poor justification for looking in the first place. To be clear, I didn't originally seek out these images. I was looking them up to see what they've been up to and as soon as I saw the image I closed the window. But having glanced it I wanted to see more and ended up going back to their page.

  2. I would say it's a reset since you willfully sought out psubs but you didn't pmo. Regardless you've lit the fuse making yourself a ticking time bomb, so be prepared to fight some intense urges soon.

  3. Because you didn't PMO, it isn't a relapse. But P-subs are just another way to get us to MO, so it's best to stay away from them completely as to avoid temptation.

I wouldn't consider it a reset/relapse, but you're playing a dangerous game. It's kind of like if you were quitting smoking and you bought a pack of cigarettes, but didn't smoke any of them. Eventually, if you keep them in your pocket long enough, you're gonna light one up.

Don't pursue P-Subs. I deleted Instagram for that very reason. I have a whole wack of hot friends posting bikini pics and butt shots, so I intentionally stay away from that. If I want to see how they're doing, I'll FB them.

Anyways, keep going, don't think that you relapsed and now you might as well PMO.
You're still on a streak, but beware of the P-Subs!

This is an early stage of edging, and it is the real underlying problem.

You are distracting yourself and you are avoiding actions and decisions in the real world.
Looking at photos and social media gives you the feeling of being connected to people, but in truth, you are disconnected.

Thanks everyone. I don't think I will consider this a reset, as when I established the ground rules for this streak I decided to allow social media. That being said it is a dangerous game yes, and I think this could be the first step down a slippery slope. So I'm making the decision to not look again, and deactivate my social media for a while.

Not a reset but it could have led to a relapse as you already figured out. Be careful not to indulge in your curiosity, that is the ultimate recipe for disaster. Take care
