This is something I have noticed with basically every blocker I have tried and used. So any blocking program you can add to your computer. Your internet service provider block list. Domain name servers that block adult content. What I have noticed is literally none of these things will have social media sites placed in the adult category. Which I must admit I do find a bit strange. Some of these blockers can even lock all search engines on safe search, so all images on search engines not displaying pornography or adult content, youtube being locked on restricted mode etc, yet they consider the social media sites child friendly. When the reality is the social media sites are actually far worse than unrestricted search engine images and unrestricted youtube videos. I just find it very strange that some of these blockers make sure when you block adult content that search engines are locked on safe search so you can't see adult images on the search engine. Yet the blocker will still have social media sites unblocked. It's kind of like if a shop banned you from buying beer to try protect your health, but the shop still allowed you to buy vodka. I would say the sites that are classed as pornographic websites are the worst and most damaging. But I would honesty say the second most damaging type of sites are actually social media sites. You can literally watch pornographic videos on social media sites, and the extent of sexual novelty and arousing content that is on social media sites is off the scale. Obviously you can go out your way and block social media sites with most of these blockers. But I just find it very strange that social media sites never seem to be in the adult category by default with all of the blockers I have tried.
Yes some websites like reddit has p but sites like instagram and fb have no p content. But they have very horny pics especially the instagram search page which might cause a trigger to go to a p website but most of us just don't relapse by just seeing a picture. You can use xblocker on your phone which blocks even bikini pics.
yeah i think the filtering is ridiculous in many cases. many filtering apps are stupid. i use for example pluckeye because it let me do all the filtering myself, i don't trust any filtering company anymore, they do too much mistakes. many of this companies use also AI to decide what is nudity, but hey WTF ? AI doesn't get horny, AI is a f** computer. the day computer grows a d**k i will trust their judgment what is arousing, until than - i don't trust them.
I also use pluckeye. I use the pluckeye default mode, where all images and videos are blocked by default, and then I just allow the sites I don't have an issue with. I feel like that is a much more efficient way to block as much porn and artificial sexual stimulation as possible. But of course there is other ways you can use pluckeye. So allowing all images, videos, but then blocking all porn and adult sites. So pluck + safe or pluck + safesites But it's even the same thing with these methods. pluck + safe will literally block all porn sites, and most adult sites, it will lock all search engines on safe search, it will lock youtube on restricted mode. But the social media sites will still be available with the porn and adult content block. Like I said this seems to be the case with every blocker, DNS I have tried. The thing I find really puzzling is the content you can access on a lot of these social media sites is actually much worse than what a lot of the sites and content these adult content blockers are blocking. As I said the only sites I would say that are actually worse than a lot of these social media sites are the sites that are actually categorized as pornographic websites. But I would say social media sites are a close second behind these sites, and as I said these adult content blockers will block many things and many sites that are actually no where near as bad as these social media sites. Considering the content you can access on a lot of these social media sites, these sites clearly should fall into the adult content category. Social media sites like twitter, instagram etc are not child friendly sites. Yet these sites always still fall into that category when it comes to adult content blockers. An adult content blocker locking google images on safe search, youtube on restricted mode, but allowing twitter, instagram is literally the same as refusing a child a 4 pack of beer, but selling them a bottle of vodka.
my friends told the discover is page according the stuff we like and follow and i haven't been following any model or actress for more than an year now still majority of pics is of them in skimpy clothes that's why stopped going there several months ago, just checked it a couple of times recently to see if anything changed and it was still the same
i don't use this general commands in pluckeye, instead i have blocked all facebook and twitter, and allowed in there only the groups or people i like. i use flee command to block triggering text content, and i use a lot of allow commands to allow all my favorite sites, turns out it's 200+ websites, so i use the Toby extension to categories and manage all my websites
Instagram and facebook do contain porn clips with audio. Most are taken down however. Social media would not be blocked simply because that it not the intention of the platform. A porn website with definitely be block because the intention is to share erotic imagery and audio. Or text. Social platforms are intend to accommodate a large international user base that communicate with each other, allowing for business to plug in their ads based on recorded information from a user. (Yes, your chats, your searches, what you like, what you view but don't like) its all data. Hope it clarified your concern. I do know the use of it for the everyday individual is communication, but there are alternate apps that do not host erotic posts and still allow you to communicate.
Yeah I agree... even in IG there are comments for hot chat and sexting on the arousing imagery... also even an only-text meme about sex can be the door to doom, at least in my case... I start reading and reading more of those double-meaning memes until I start looking for Bollywood scenes or P tales, which is my major deal... Anyway, in my experience, ALL blockers have a blind point, so if you're not REALLY committed to quitting, you'll just be deactivating your blocker 15 times a day and it will be doubly arousing because of the thrill of jumping virtual fences... Porn can be literally anywhere, even in the newspapers' sell point, so I think the point of recovery is to stop sexualizing people (not only women as I am a heterosexual woman) and to be able to stop the porn-masturbation-orgasm train even if we step by an arousing pic in the street or a hot trailer at the beginning of an action movie in the cinema. To isolate ourselves from porn in 100% means to live in the mountain like monks with no connection with the world, as it is hyper-sexualized itself in the first place.
Yeah it sounds peaceful and nice but in practice, we can hardly follow that path, at least most of us! Better to learn to not react to porn and hot stuff flying out there in the hypersexualized world. Just let them be and keep going on to your goals.
Lol, I once came across a really obese model on IG who was ranting that her body was perfect and IG shouldn’t have reported her photo. There’s a limit you know. Did the person report her just because, did she actually break a rule? IDK.
I do agree with the virtual fence statement you made. The thing is I have really went out my way to make sure I can't get porn and artificial sexual stimulation through the use of blockers and other certain configurations on my laptop, not having admin rights etc. But I have noticed that when I have been locked behind the fence for a while, and I haven't seen what's behind the fence for a while, that when I do eventually decide to jump the fence, I do admit that the excitement and thrill at this point seems to be much greater than when I can access porn and artificial sexual stimulation when ever I want.
Exactly, same here. I have a single, pretty weak blocker that shows up an old lady or a pug whenever I try to enter my favorite porn tales pages. But pffff after some time anything can trigger you, anything. Just a hungry brain looking for food. It's quite common that users say: "after n days of abstinence, I started looking lustfully at girls that aren't that hot". I've experienced it myself. It's a symptom of rewiring, to return to the instinct and also, stop looking for perfect bodies like the ones in porn. But it's also a great opportunity to fall off the wagon so... The point is to focus on things other than sex, not just block sex, because sex is part of human nature and, moreover, it's the perfect marketing tool and topic, so we can't run away that easy. And, as you said, jumping the fence is so fuckingly exciting that it seems almost a fetish.
