Imagine if...

Hi All,

I have this thought going through my mind for some time now. Imagine if all the energy, passion and effort that is put in pursuing, hiding, binging and acting out on P would be put into something constructive and important. Let's say you had a dream, a dream to become something, to obtain something or create something, maybe something that you wanted since forever. Imagine if you could focus and put all of the above mentioned energy, passion and effort into that one goal instead of wasting it daily on fake fantasies and empty pleasure. Imagine if you could harness all that inventiveness, all those creative ways you come up with to conceal the P or PSUBS from your SO, for achieving and living your dreams. You could get that great job, have your own business, become an artist or win that competition... the possibilities are limitless. Just take a moment and reflect. And let that sink. Because you can.

 

It is a slavery, and addicts are truly enslaved by the addiction. If you have read Brave New World, it really goes to the point - people enslaved by sensual pleasures and not caring what is going on around them, just fixed on that next hit of dopamine and thus controllable and malleable. Ironically, most of the people who indulge in promiscuity, pornography, drugs, gambling and co. think that they are free and liberated because they can do what they want. It is quite opposite though, since there is no freedom coming from the things that control you. The quote bellow sums it up.
