yeah, it was. I meant 'advice' more in terms of someone sharing some useful strategies to avoid relapse

Heh heh Even Saitama needs help with quitting PMO XD

    Tips:
    1. Try to avoid wet dreams like the plague. They aren't a relapse but you still lose sperm. Try:

    • peeing before bed
    • drinking water no less than 30 mins before bed
    • sticking to a regular sleep cycle
    • avoiding sleeping on your stomach
    2. Avoid fantasizing at any cost. Develop a hobby or just leave the house for a bit. Fantasies are a sure way to a relapse.
    3. DO NOT EDGE. EVER. EEEEVEEER. It is more harmful than straight up masturbation.
    4. Understand that nofap is a lifestyle, not a challenge- make other healthy changes in your lifestyle such as exercising, developing a hobby, improving your academic stature, bonding with family, etc. Only if you push yourself to the max in every aspect of your life will you give nofap a chance to present its benefits in your life.

A lot more can be said but I'll leave the rest of the discoveries to you :)

Let me tell you this: the life that awaits tou now is going to be massively painful and brutal but EQUALLY REWARDING.

    Good luck Saitama :)

I've noted that my last 2 relapses (I tried nofap before I joined this site) happened right after I randomly woke up around 4am, the cause being some provocative thought that seemed to appear out of nowhere. Is there a cause? More importantly, how do I shake off these thoughts?

    Never happened to me bro.

Did you have a tendency to fap before bedtime?

    Then that's why.

Your circadian cycle is shifting towards normalcy. Do the following:

•sleep and wake at a fixed time. Get a schedule in order for this.
•under no means should you exceed 8 hours of sleep or fall short of 6 hours unless there is absolutely nothing you can do to avoid it.
•avoid cellphones, PC's and TV in the 30 mins immediately prior to bedtime.
•avoid any medication that may cause drowsiness, depression or hyperactivity. This includes drugs (like nicotine and caffeine) and alcohol.
•don't relapse if you do end up waking. Seriously. Let your body adjust.

Will do. What do I do when (as before) I reach like a 3-5 day streak and I just start thinking shit like "whats the point?" or "pmo cant be that bad?"

This is actually step 1. It is the first thing you should answer before literally anything else.

This is your journey bro. Your path. Nobody can give you a cause but you, yourself. If the will to improve is strong enough, nothing can break you and all doubt will perish instantly.

What is your purpose for doing this?

What is your point in life?

What kind of person are you right now?

What kind of person do you want to be in the future?

What is the thing you value most in a person? Do you possess this quality?

What has PMO affected in your life?
