I lost my wife about a month ago to breast cancer. We were together for 8 years, 5 of those years with the knowledge of living with cancer and seeking endless treatments.

She has always been the one to shed light on my path, the primary navigator and gps. Without her, a big chunk of myself is lost.

The grieving process is a lot of emotion to handle. During the process I’ve been falling into sand pits of unhealthy habits. Pornography, alcohol, staying up late (lack of rest), video games (even less sleep), snacking junk food at night, and lack of exercise/motivation.

Self awareness is the first step and I’m proud to be here. What I am seeking is guidance along the climb up this mountain. I will need your help to keep me going.

In a effort to keep myself accountable, I did download a tracking app to monitor my progress. Please let me know if there are any other tools that can make the journey any easier.

My plan of to substitute all the bad habits with the goals of shaping myself into a healthier new me.
