I saw a YouTube video today by a bright fellow who is now succeeding at going fap-free after many past failed attempts. He said that he's finally found two guys that he knows who are trying to quit, and that it's making a big difference. Has anyone here ever done that? How do you ever find others in real life who want to quit? I've never had any friend who openly discussed his masturbatory practices--other than the barest acknowledgement of doing it. It would be very awkward to tell friends that I'm into not fapping anymore or to ask them if they've ever wanted or tried to quit. Today is day 111 of my current streak, so I guess I'm okay, but I'm all alone in this, except for NoFap.com and YouTubers.
Why not? I tell people all the time. Girls, guys, family, people I just met. If you explain that it's healthy and has a positive affect on your life, what are they gonna say? It's like making fun of someone who is vegan. You just can't, because ultimately you know what they're doing is better than what you're doing. There is no shame in self-improvement.
Honestly the reason why its hard to find others that are trying to quit is because people aren't as open and honest about it as they could be, and I completely understand why. I actually found out that porn is the second most common addiction among men other than alcohol. Im in college right now and I met this guy, and he turned into one of my closest friends, turns out we were both addicted to porn and he actually introduced me to this whole community. I think the key to finding others if being little more honest about it, kinda like what you said LordCocknBalls
I guess that you and I just come from different cultures. I can't imagine anybody doing that in real life!
yeah I know what you mean, i come from a very conservative christian family, so its difficult, but other guys your age might understand ya know?
