Has anyone here tried ashwagandha? I’ve heard it can help. Any thoughts?

In my opinion, suppliments should be avoided and recovery should be done as naturally as possible. Especially a supplement that's know for increasing your testosterone and libido. You don't wanna artificially try to increasing those things, the brain will do it's job and you'll have to give it the time and rest it needs.

Also "feeling low" or "borderline depression" is a side effects of taking ashwagandha for x number of weeks, some people feel it, some people don't. I don't think you'd what that when you're already feeling depressed because of the flatline. Taking it might improve your erection to a certain degree but it'll be back to it's previous state once you stop taking it. Leaning on to supplements like these can't be a permanent cure. Best is to sit back, resolve internal issues, focus on recovery and not be too fixated on finding a quick fix, because unfortunately there isn't one.

Is there other questions you want me to answer just to give you a clear picture ?

I'm feeling good today as well - the problem with libido is that it turns on only with Pr0n Fantasy or Flashbacks that I kill immediatly besides that it doesn't.

The main issue here is the cognitive function which still don't work properly ( Cognitive Shaprness and Memory ).

Overall, I'm feel okay for now.

I think the last thing to ask is how many years of PMO are you recovering from.

    It goes like this:

    5 Years of only MO ( I was a kid back than...) 2004 -2009.

Followed by 13 Years of PMO, some years were light use while mostly were of medium and heavy use. 2009 - 2022

    This is it, I guess.

If I was in your situation I would keep going until reaching 24 months (or Dec 2024) and re-evaluate my recovery at that point. Its worth keeping a close eye on how you feel emotionally while continuing abstinence.

Anything could happen between now and that time, there is nothing to say that you won't reach full recovery by then. For the time being just keep pressing on.

Well my symptoms flooded back. Really feeeling like I cannot function like this on a day to day basis. Getting through a day of work is an absolute struggle. The tasks are piling up and I really feel like I can’t accomplish them. Every task is a mountain to climb. I am sure that I am now in PAWS. After having a wonderful relationship for almost a year, I ruined it for a few sessions of edging. Ruined my life. Thinking about picking up and moving out of the city

I don't know but for now - my mood is good, I'm feeling emotionally positive, my only problem is cognitive issues and no libido.

@mentorr , Thanks my dear friend - thanks a lot!

Even if I made it, I will stick around and help our friends and the future friends that will be in deep need for our help!

For me. Be aware. Every relapse starts because of something weather its looking a little Long at a pretty girl on YouTube and fantasize a bit too much. When you notice those behaviour Cut Them out and be more strict. Staying mindful all day and realising why you relapse, for me its stress. So when im stressed now and get urges i do something else to release stress and deal with the emotions.

also wanting the benefits and wanting paws to end as much as you wanna breathe helps

That is how to suceeed for years.

At the moment I have a daily timer set for no more than 30 mins a day for Instagram. Prior to that I deleted social media. I am now at a point where the urge to use social media (Netflix, YouTube, Instagram) is just disappearing - it doesn't feel the same anymore. It is a weird state to be in after years of heavy use.

I had no choice really, it was my highest cause for relapse. I didnt delete fb though just stopped using the app itself. Instagram for me was always the worst offender

I think getting rid of the apps or cutting them down is a strong move for recovery.

I am starting to believe that the reason reboots are taking longer than they once did is due to all the social media and online stimulation available.

4.5 years? I would suggest going carnivore, it helps a bit with energy levels for me

We already know that a lack of libido relates to your nervous system being too over-stimulated. So to speed up recovery, you want to do the opposite to over-stimulation, which is to decrease stimulation.

There is a post written earlier this week that outlines what under-stimulation might look like - read with a pinch salt, but you should be able to get the idea.

I think this is exactly what happend last time when I managed get a streak of about 30 days, I was so disgusted and ashamed of what I did before that streak, that I never felt unbearable urges unlike before....unfortunately I still turned back to PMO...maybe because I thought I didn't deserve being PMO free for several reasons and and now after just a few days I failed again... It's the first time this has happend in 2024, usually I get back on track pretty quickly after a relapse, but this time I strenghened the PMO pathways to the point withdrawals and urges are really tough to endure...
