I wanted to start a thread for everyone to chime in about the positive things you're doing in your day or life, either to keep you away from P and PMO, or because you've found so much more time to do so by taking P out of your life. Exercised? What did you do? Read a book? What was it, and how did you like it? Martial arts? What style, and what "belt" are you? It doesn't have to be a lifetime hobby. It could just be one fun thing you did today. I'm even hoping this thread will be useful set of suggestions for those who need a positive outlet for their time and energy.
Today, I went on a three-hour hike with two young buddies. We had a great time talking about all sorts of life issues, and we even touched on P and M. I didn't share with them my involvement in Nofap, but I might if the topic comes up again.
Great idea for a thread FP! Exercise is awesome, a few endorphins floating around in the old brain can go a long way. I hope that things go well with your buddies, that was brave to bring up that subject. Did you feel better after the conversation? I recently got hooked on a fun community-based video game. When I'm stuck at home and am too sick to get out, I can hop on and find people to pass the time with. I met a really cool guy from Germany and we've made quick friends and have a great banter about the silly things that happen in the game. Now that the weather is turning around though, I'm hoping to get out more in nature. The peacefulness is like a healing balm.
Woke up 8:30 am this morning and went to my usual Sunday class at the gym. Then around 1:00 pm met up for a lunch date. Realized I am better off without some woman in my life right now. The reboot/rewiring process is sure a deciding factor in wanting to remain just friends. Reading up on James Altucher's Choose Yourself the Guide to Wealth.
Well, my job is the single most important thing in my life. More important than family, friends, a social life, or anything thing else that's considered "essential" to happiness. Every activity in my day is dedicated to performing better at work, whether it's exercising (to focus and clear the mind), learning about the product I sell (shoes), or just talking with hot girls to raise my confidence/charisma (among other things =D). That's pretty much it. I work. And when I'm not working, I think about how to get better at work. I'm constantly searching for a second job or a better-paying job. Time is pussy.
I'm spending more time at the gym and focusing on work more. I'd like to be more sociable and chat to people in the 'real world' more.
So this will be out Status update thread eh? I recently went to our Karate Training. I am white belt.
...I would like to be more productive & active, such as work on my business, go more regularly to the gym, have a more quality relationship with my wife and become more social.
So, what of these things have you DONE? What has been occupying your time instead of P or PM or PMO or MO?
I had a busy day at work. Saw 30 patients, and the last one I took an extra amount of time with b/c I got him to admit he had not had sex with his wife for 9 months, but he was able to PMO 2-3 times a week. His homework was to avoid all P or PMO and have sex with his wife at least once in the next two weeks. And by 3 months, he was going to have a goal of having sex with her twice a week.
Mooondays are pretty much boring for me. Went to work. Came home and just relaxed. Also today is my rest day so no strenuous workouts. Yet as for tomorrow would be a much different story. Boot camp after work!
It was my day off, so I enjoyed as much of the beautiful weather as I could -- I went on a walk down to the river, laid on a rock and watched the ducks go by, stretched. I practiced my violin as well. Went to the gym later on. I am working on becoming more disciplined overall because I know how good it feels to accomplish things. I already feel such a difference in the time I have left over when I don't spend 1-2 hours PMOing. It's great.
been spending time at the gym and just generally exercising. trying to loose a bit of fat. but studying mostly also, I have definitely felt that my studying is better now that I don't PMO. lets hope that the exams go well! shout out to all the university students currently in the run up to exams: KEEP ON GOING!
I try to stay away from home by spending most of the time helping the young girls with their homework and fixing healthy homemade meals.looking for new exciting ones. Also getting rid of so much clutter and getting ready,weather permitting,to go swimming daily.
Did gardening this morning and this afternoon. Beautiful day in Connecticut, and a great way to spend it instead of fapping.
