I can't believe that I never read this book; I've enjoyed other things by Kierkegaard. Years ago, I read Fear and Trembling, but, then I stopped and didn't read past his intro to this book.
In my flatlining situation, this week may not be the best week to read this, or I may find that it is packed with unique relevant thoughts. Somebody wants to talk with me about it, so, as I try to finish it, to be able to discuss it rationally, I will try to transform the despair.

Kierkegaard is not an easy read. It is never easy to spend time thinking about and working through despair. Despair got me into NoFap, but now I am seeing better how much more there is to despair. We can ignore and avoid it to continue in our old ways, or we can contemplate and confront the sources of it in order to move on, grow and develop.

Kierkegaard was not a happy camper. How can one man know so much about so many forms of despair and stay sane?
